Scenic Area Introduction:

The full name of the Statue of Liberty is the "National Statue of Liberty Bronze Statue". Its official name is "The Statue of Liberty Illuminating the World." This tall sculpture is a 100th anniversary of the independence of France to the United States in 1886. It is located on Liberty Island near New York City, New York, USA. It was developed by French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. The masterpiece handed down on May 21, 1884, and then completed on October 28, 1886, is a symbol of friendship between the American nation and the American and French people, and expresses the lofty ideals of the American people for democracy and freedom.
The Statue of Liberty in the United States is based on the Statue of Liberty in Luxembourg Park, Paris, France. The appearance design of the goddess is derived from the sculptor's mother, while the right hand of the goddess holding the torch is modeled on the arm of the sculptor's wife, holding the torch symbolizing freedom. With the left hand holding the "Declaration of Independence" dated July 4, 1776, under his feet were broken handcuffs, shackles and chains. The Statue of Liberty is dressed in ancient Greek-style clothing with crowns that symbolize the seven spires of the seven continents and four oceans of the world. The internal structure of the statue's wrought iron was designed by Gustave Eiffel who later built the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Now, when the sea liner enters the Upper New York Bay, the huge statue first comes into view. At this time, some passengers beckoned to her, and some passengers took pictures of her. Especially at night, the light inside the torch is bright, and the searchlight from the island to the colossus makes the Statue of Liberty clearer and more spectacular. Similarly, when the sea vessel leaves the urban terminal, she will also pass by her. At this time, although it is far from the statue, it is still faintly visible due to the tall base of the statue. Some of the passengers waved to her, and some loudly said "goodbye" to her. There is no doubt that the Statue of Liberty has become a big sight of ships entering and leaving New York Harbor.

Attractions distribution:

The Statue of Liberty is 46 meters high, with a pedestal of 93 meters, and weighs 225 tons (490,000 pounds). It has a spiral staircase and an elevator for visitors to climb to the head to view the scenery. The pedestal was built by the famous Joseph Pulitzer to raise $ 100,000, and has now become the Museum of American Immigration History. On the pedestal is engraved a popular poem "New Giant" by Emma Lazarus, an American poetess. The entire bronze statue uses 120 tons of steel as a skeleton, 80 tons of copper sheet as the skin, and is fixed on a bracket with 300,000 rivets. When night fell, the light from the base of the idol shone upward, and the goddess was illuminated like a pale cyan jade sculpture with a graceful posture.
